Information Literacy Competency Standards for Nursing

The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) published the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education that is organized under six concepts:

  • Authority Is Constructed and Contextual
  • Information Creation as a Process
  • Information Has Value
  • Research as Inquiry
  • Scholarship as Conversation
  • Searching as Strategic Exploration

In addition to the overarching Framework, there are Information Literacy Competency Standards for Nursing.
