How do I connect to the wireless network?

Your username is your first initial, your last name, and the last three digits of your ID#. Your password is the last four digits of your social security number. To join the network, the key is FaithPeaceJustice. If you are unable to connect, please contact ITS.


How do I connect to the library's databases from home or from off campus?

In order to access the library resources, use the same username and password that you use for logging into Academus.


How do I print?

You may print from any of the computers in the library or from the library's laptops. The printers are set to print double-sided; change this option in the print dialog box if you need to print single-sided. Print jobs can be picked up at the circulation desk (main desk).


How do I check out a book?

You need your ID card to check out any item in the library. Bring your book to the circulation desk with your ID card and we will check out your book to you. Books check out for 3 weeks and may be renewed. We also have DVDs available; they check out for one week.


How do I find a book?

In the search box on the home page, choose the Library Books & More tab. You may search by keyword, title, or author by changing the dropdown menu to the left of the search box. The results may contain books, ebooks, DVDs, streaming video and other items. For print books, look for the call number listed. We are happy to help you locate the book in the library--just ask us!


Where do I find books and articles on reserve?

There may be times when a professor will have items on reserve at the library. Bring your ID to the circulation desk in order to check out these items. Most often, they are restricted to use within the library; DVDs often have a one-day circulation permission.


I am a distance learner. How do I get items from the library?

If you need a book or other item from the library, we will mail it to you at no cost. Please send your request to library@wheeling.edu.
